Job Overview
The ESG Supervisor will support the implementation, monitoring, reporting, and continuous improvement of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives across JTI Ethiopia Leaf Operations.
The position combines agriculture and sustainability activities with field monitoring, stakeholder engagement, training, data collection, reporting, project coordination, and community and environmental initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Support agricultural teams and external stakeholders in achieving ALP and STP goals. Develop and deliver training materials and training for agricultural teams and growers. Conduct field observations and monitor and evaluate ALP activities. Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports. Support budgeting for ALP and STP activities. Collect and report data related to GSP, SCDD, SG-related ESGA, HRIA, ALP, and ARISE activities. Support afforestation, carbon-reduction, and community development initiatives. Assist the ESG Manager with assigned activities. Collect and organize Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) data. Prepare and support LCA-related reporting. Support CoP data collection and reporting. Contribute to internal and global ESG reporting, evaluation, analysis, and summarization. Coordinate assigned tasks and projects. Travel to Jewah Leaf Location and South Leaf Locations as required. Perform other duties related to ESG and sustainability activities.
Qualifications and Requirements
BSc in Agriculture , MSc in Agriculture , or BSc in Agricultural Engineering from a recognized public university or related field. MBA is preferred. Minimum 4 years of experience in Agriculture and Sustainability . Knowledge of sustainability principles. Understanding of environmental and social compliance and ESG frameworks. Experience in project coordination and stakeholder engagement. Experience in training and reporting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication skills. Fluency in English. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Willingness and ability to undertake frequent field travel. Ability to drive a motorcycle.
