Job Summary
Reporting to the Finance Officer, the Finance Assistant will support day-to-day finance activities at the Aleta Wondo field office. The role includes cash management, payments, financial transactions, reconciliations, tax and liability follow-up, documentation, filing, reporting support, and financial data entry.
Key Responsibilities
Process cash payments and manage cash transactions in and outside the office Prepare checks and payments following required approvals Process PO and non-PO invoices and payments in the Integra system Clear the Integra dashboard and update financial transactions regularly Prepare government invoice reports for monthly submission Record cash, petty cash, and bank transactions using the appropriate D codes Maintain finance vouchers and financial documents securely Manage and replenish the petty cash fund according to IRC policies Maintain emergency cash and conduct weekly cash counts Assist the Finance Officer or Manager with financial reports Conduct weekly cash counts and cash reconciliations Reconcile recorded cash balances with physical cash counts Follow up on timely payment of taxes and other liabilities Follow up on income tax, pension, and withholding tax settlements Collect bank advice and follow up on advance settlements Maintain organized and accessible financial filing systems Ensure finance documents receive the required IRC Ethiopia Paid or Received stamp Scan and file monthly financial documents in the field office Box drive Maintain accurate and timely financial records in the Integra system Prepare finance-related outgoing correspondence Maintain accuracy and neatness in financial documentation Perform financial duties in accordance with IRC finance regulations and procedures Provide Finance Officer coverage during their absence Perform other finance-related duties assigned by the Finance Officer

Qualifications and Requirements
Education
BA/MBA in Accounting, Business Management, or a related field
Experience
Diploma holders: 2 years of relevant work experience First-degree holders: 0 years of relevant work experience Minimum 6 months of IRC internship service NGO experience is an advantage
Skills
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel Basic spoken and written English Strong communication and interpersonal skills Good attention to detail and accuracy Ability to maintain organized financial documentation
Language
English language proficiency is required.
