Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree and a recognized teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent).
- At least two years of teaching experience in a comparable school environment (preferred).
- Experience teaching IGCSE and/or IB programmes is highly desirable.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Demonstrated excellence in classroom teaching.
Reporting Line: Head of ICT
Key Working Relationships: Head of Secondary, Head of ICT, Leadership Team, Teaching Staff, Students, and Parents/Carers.

Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning
- Deliver a broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated ICT and Computer Science curriculum to Secondary School students, including Functional ICT and, where applicable, IGCSE and IBDP programmes.
- Monitor and support students' academic progress and overall development.
- Foster a learning environment that enables students to achieve their full potential.
- Contribute to raising student achievement and attainment.
- Support the school's commitment to students' personal and academic growth.
Curriculum Development and Planning
- Assist in developing schemes of work aligned with ICT and Computing curricula.
- Create and enhance teaching resources, assessment practices, marking policies, and instructional strategies.
- Contribute to departmental and curriculum development plans and support their implementation.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety procedures and maintain appropriate documentation.
- Participate in the ongoing development of the ICT and Computing curriculum to meet student needs, examination requirements, and the school's educational philosophy.
- Ensure ICT equipment and resources are maintained and fit for educational use.

- Take responsibility for student learning and progress as directed by school leadership.
- Fulfil duties in accordance with professional standards for qualified teachers.
- Plan, deliver, assess, and report on learning while meeting students' diverse academic and social needs.
- Uphold and promote the school's values and positive culture within the school community.

- Teach classes as assigned by the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
- Participate in relevant professional development and training opportunities.
- Stay informed about current educational practices and developments.
- Collaborate with specialist teaching teams.
- Support curriculum planning, development, and management.
- Demonstrate effective classroom management and maintain high teaching standards while adhering to school policies, including those related to equal opportunities and student behaviour.
- Implement the school's behaviour management strategies and policies.
- Assess student achievement and use assessment data to inform future planning.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
- Maintain accurate records and integrate both formative and summative assessments into teaching practice.
- Work closely with SLT and colleagues to monitor student progress and provide timely interventions where necessary.
- Consistently demonstrate high-quality classroom teaching.
