Organization: International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia Employment Type: Full‑time (1 year fixed term, renewable) Job Level: B2 (National/Resident – Ethiopian Nationals only) Application Deadline: June 26, 2026

In Ethiopia, ICRC collaborates with the Ethiopian Red Cross Society and other partners to deliver humanitarian aid and promote respect for international humanitarian law.
Role Purpose
The ICT Specialist 2 manages and organizes ICT systems and services at the assigned location. The role supports the ICT Manager in designing, installing, and maintaining ICT infrastructure, ensuring compliance with ICRC standards.
Key Responsibilities
Provide Level 2 ICT support and enforce use of the ICRC service portal. Assist in planning, deployment, and maintenance of ICT systems (PABX, data networks, radio systems, VSAT). Install, maintain, and repair IT hardware, LAN/SDWAN, wireless, and telecom systems. Monitor ICT projects and ensure infrastructure functionality. Track ICT equipment allocations, conduct physical checks, and manage inventory. Collaborate with suppliers and service providers to ensure timely delivery. Set up rooms and technical equipment for meetings and video conferences. Maintain technical documentation and brief new staff on ICT systems. Report regularly on ICT activities, projects, and issues.
Qualifications
Education : University degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field. Certifications : Network, Operating Systems, Software certifications; ITIL certification is an asset. Experience : Minimum 4 years troubleshooting ICT systems (LAN/WAN, workplace services, telecom, IT help desk). Skills : Strong technical troubleshooting and problem‑solving. Knowledge of telecommunications (VHF, HF, VSAT, PBX, telephony). Experience in MS Teams, project management, and cybersecurity. Flexibility, responsiveness, and ability to work independently. Languages : Very good English and Amharic skills. Other : Driving license is a plus.
