Role description

Gift Construction PLC, part of Gift Business Group, is looking for motivated candidates for the following two positions to join our team.

Gift Real Estate PLC (GRE) is engaged in real estate development business in Ethiopia. We are a part of Gift Group (holding company), which was established first as Gift Trading During the mixed economic era (early 1990s or 30 years ago) by its founder and MD, Ato Gebreyesus Igata who has been interested in business since childhood and long term exposure in other countries.

Position 1: Senior Architect –Design, Supervision & BIM Lead

Minimum Qualification and Experience

Applicants must meet the following mandatory minimum requirements:

  • BSc or MSc Degree in Architecture from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in architectural design and construction supervision.
  • Demonstrated direct involvement in the design, supervision, completion and handover of at least two (2) completed high-rise building projects.
  • Valid professional practicing license/registration for architectural practice in Ethiopia.
  • Advanced practical proficiency in Autodesk Revit, and AutoCAD.
  • Practical experience in BIM implementation, multidisciplinary coordination and BIM workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable building codes, standards, specifications and construction quality requirements.
  • Demonstrated capability in architectural leadership, site supervision, technical coordination, contractor management and project completion.
  • Strong communication, coordination, teamwork, accountability and professional ethics.

Position 2: Senior Structural Engineer

Minimum Qualification and Experience

Applicants must meet the following mandatory requirements:

  • MSc/BSc in Structural Engineering/Civil engineering from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in structural engineering design and construction supervision.
  • Proven experience in the design, supervision of at least two (2) high-rise building projects in Addis Ababa.
  • Valid professional practicing license/registration applicable to structural engineering in Ethiopia.
  • Experience or certification in ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, QA/QC
  • Demonstrated competence in structural design, analysis, construction supervision and QA/QC.
  • Practical BIM experience, including advanced Autodesk Revit Structure modeling.
  • Ability to use software for model coordination and clash detection.
  • Good knowledge of Ethiopian Building Code requirements and relevant international structural design standards.
  • Strong professional ethics, communication, coordination, leadership and problem-solving skills.

Position 3: SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Applicants must meet the following mandatory requirements:

  • BSc/MSc in Quantity Surveying or a closely related construction cost-management discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience for BSc holders or 5 years for MSc holders.
  • Demonstrated participation in the quantity surveying and cost management of at least two (2) completed high-rise building projects in Addis Ababa.
  • Valid Ethiopian professional/practicing certificate issued by the relevant authority.
  • BIM/5D BIM certification or training
  • Strong competence in quantity take-off, BoQ preparation, cost estimation,
  • Practical knowledge of BIM-based quantity take-off and cost management, including the ability to read and work with Revit architectural, structural and MEP models.
  • Knowledge of BIM/model-review software is required.
  • Strong communication, coordination, analytical, documentation and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated professional integrity, accountability, discipline and ethical conduct.
