Role description

The Ethiopian Capital Market Authority, established pursuant to Capital Market Proclamation No. 1248/2021, functions as an autonomous Federal Regulatory Authority. A principal objective of the ECMA is to facilitate a capital market environment wherein securities may be issued and exchanged in a systematic, equitable, and efficient manner.

In its capacity as a regulatory authority, the ECMA is empowered to issue licenses to qualified entities seeking to operate as a securities exchange, derivatives exchange, securities depository and clearing company, capital market service provider, over-the-counter trading facility, or any other activity that the ECMA designates as a regulated activity within its regulatory purview.

Position 1: Junior IT Officer _ Full Stack Developer

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above in Information Technology, Software Engineering, information science or a field related to the Job function from an Accredited or recognized learning institution.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience

Professional Qualifications / Membership to professional bodies

Relevant training or certification in software development, full stack development, web application development, database management, cloud fundamentals, or software testing is desirable.

Position 2: Senior IT Officer I _ Enterprise System Developer

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Science, or a field related to the job function from an accredited or recognized learning institution.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in enterprise system development, software engineering, application integration, database development, systems analysis, or a related IT role.

Professional Qualifications / Membership to professional bodies

Relevant training or certification in enterprise application development, systems integration, database management, software architecture, secure coding, cloud technologies, DevOps, IT service management, or project delivery is desirable.
