Available Positions
1. Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child Health & Nutrition (RMNCH‑N) Advisor – Addis Ababa
Responsibilities: Provide technical and clinical guidance for RMNCH‑N services; oversee implementation of high‑impact practices (PPH E‑MOTIVE, Kangaroo Mother Care, PPFP, immunization catch‑up, nutrition); train and mentor health providers; collaborate with MOH and RHBs; ensure evidence‑based, gender‑sensitive programming. Qualifications: Degree in Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery, or Health Officer with MPH/MSc; minimum 8 years’ experience (specialty in Obstetrics/Gynecology or Pediatrics advantageous); 4+ years clinical service delivery; experience in training, supervision, and quality assurance of RMNCH‑N services. Skills: Strong analytical, mentoring, documentation, and communication skills; knowledge of global/national RMNCH‑N policies; computer literacy.
2. Regional Coordinator – Semera, Afar Region
Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate RMNCH‑N project implementation in Afar; develop action plans; supervise regional staff; ensure compliance with EngenderHealth and donor requirements; oversee budgeting and financial control; represent EngenderHealth in regional forums; strengthen partnerships with government and NGOs. Qualifications: First degree or above in Medicine or Public Health (MD or MPH preferred); 6+ years’ experience (4 years for master’s degree holders); proven project management and coordination experience in pastoralist contexts; knowledge of regional/zonal/woreda health systems. Skills: Strong leadership, facilitation, mentoring, and communication abilities; project management expertise; ability to travel to intervention sites; fluency in English required, local language preferred.
