Job Description
The Junior Customer Service Officer will support customer service, branch operations, transactions, back-office activities, deposit mobilization, and the promotion of banking products and digital channels.
Key Responsibilities
Handle account openings, maintain customer registers, and manage document custody. Process counter transactions, cheque deposits, and returned cheques. Assist Senior Customer Service Officers with back-office operations and daily reconciliations, including ATM, POS, merchant, and branch books. Assist with clearing suspense accounts. Promote the bank's products, services, and alternative digital channels. Support deposit mobilization and the recruitment of new clients. Build relationships with merchants and agents. Respond to customer inquiries while maintaining service quality and confidentiality. Perform duties in accordance with applicable National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) standards.
Qualification and Requirements
Educational Qualification
Applicants should have a First Degree (Bachelor's degree) in one of the following fields:
Accounting Management Finance Economics Banking & Finance Related fields
A First Degree in Business Administration and Information System (BAIS) is stated as advantageous.
Applicants with a relevant first degree together with training or certification in MIS, IT, or a related field are also considered under the stated requirements.
Experience
No prior work experience is required. The position is open to fresh graduates .
