Role description

Yegna Microfinance Institution is a microfinance institution, which is engaged in development activities in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Yegna mainly provides credit services to micro and small enterprise operators or potential operators and, low income people who are capable to work in income-generating activities. Micro enterprises are important tools in poverty alleviation through employment creation and income generation for low-income groups with limited opportunities.

Position 1: Trainee Officer

Educational Qualification:

  • BA Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience:

  • No experience required.
  • Marketing and sales skills are advantageous.
  • Only graduates of 2016 E.C. and above are eligible.

Duty Station:

  • Kombolcha

Position 2: Customer Service Officer

Educational Qualification:

  • BA Degree in Marketing, Accounting & Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 1 year and above of experience in the banking or microfinance sector.

  • Dire Dawa
  • Kombolcha

Position 3: Senior Customer Service Officer

Educational Qualification:

  • BA Degree in Marketing, Accounting & Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 3 years and above of relevant experience, including 1 year in the banking or microfinance sector.

Duty Stations:

  • Dire Dawa
  • Kombolcha
  • Jimma

Position 4: Senior Customer Service Officer – Cash

Educational Qualification:

  • BA Degree in Marketing, Accounting & Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 3 years and above of relevant experience, including 1 year in the banking or microfinance sector.

  • Kombolcha
  • Jimma

Position 5: Interest Free Microfinance Business Relationship Manager-I

Educational Qualification:

  • MA/BA Degree in Accounting & Finance, Economics, Management, Marketing, Business Administration, Business Management, Accounting, Banking & Finance, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 3 years and above of relevant experience, including 1 year in a senior position in the banking or microfinance sector.

Duty Station:

  • Addis Ababa

Position 6: Area Manager

Educational Qualification:

  • MA/BA Degree in Accounting & Finance, Economics, Management, Marketing, Business Administration, Business Management, Accounting, Banking & Finance, or a related field.

Experience:

  • MA: Minimum 5 years of banking or microfinance experience.
  • BA: Minimum 7 years of banking or microfinance experience.
  • At least 3 years must be in a managerial position.
