Role description
Development Expertise Center (DEC) is a national CSO registered in Ethiopia. The organization has five major programs: Child Well-being and Education Development, Gender and Life Skill Development, Employable Skills Development, Advocacy, and Humanitarian Emergency Programs. DEC actively works in seven National Regional States and one city administration of Ethiopia, namely Amhara, Afar, Oromia, Tigray, South West Ethiopia, Gambela, Benishangul Gumuz, and Addis Ababa City Administration. DEC would like to recruit for the following positions: Consortium Coordinator, Finance Coordinator, Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning, and MEL Coordinator, SRHR and GBV Advisor, Programme Coordinator, Woreda Programme Supervisor, and Junior Finance Officer Job Summary The Woreda Program supervisors are responsible for District/Woreda level implementation; provides school‑level support for the program, overseeing an average of 20 schools and 42 classes within their assigned woreda. Specific role and responsibilities Responsible for guiding teachers, monitoring classroom delivery, ensuring adherence to project standards, Facilitate communication between schools, communities, and zonal coordinators. Regular supervision, facilitation visits, data collection, and reporting to strengthen teaching quality and student learning outcomes, Support effective coordination of resources and stakeholder engagement at the local level. Work closely with school directors, Woreda education offices, teachers, Parent-Teacher Student Associations (PTSAs), and community leaders to ensure the success of educational initiatives. Organize activities for teachers, facilitators, and local partners to enhance educational practices.
