Altera Luxury Living is recruiting for its new pre-opening team to provide premium serviced-apartment and hotel-apartment experiences in Addis Ababa. The current vacancies for this high-end hospitality team include Job Title: Senior Accountant Employment Type Full-Timer Key Responsibilities • Financial Reporting: Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow). •  Follow up on daily sales & collection reconciliation • Reconciliation: Managing complex bank and account reconciliations to ensure ledger integrity. • Audit Coordination: Serving as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits and preparing required audit schedules. • Leadership often includes supervising junior staff and overseeing daily accounting transactions. Professional Attributes • Attention to Detail Precision is critical for maintaining error-free financial records. • Analytical Thinking Ability to analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and support strategic decision-making. N.B Hotel experience & female applicants are highly preferred. About You Educational & Experience Requirements • Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance. • Work Experience: At least 7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance. Employers specifically look for at least 5 of those years in a senior or supervisory role. Technical Skills & Knowledge • Accounting Standards: Thorough understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). • Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software such as Peachtree. • Tax Compliance Knowledge of local tax laws (VAT, income tax, payroll tax, and other) and the ability to prepare and file accurate tax returns.
