Position: Programme Associate (G‑6, Temporary) – Addis Ababa
Job Summary
The Programme Associate will provide specialized programme and administrative support to the STEP Programme Management Team , ensuring effective planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting. The role involves data analysis, budget tracking, reporting, supply management, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Support project management and implementing partnership coordination. Manage programme data, conduct analysis, and prepare reports. Monitor grants, budgets, and financial reporting. Facilitate digital innovation and operational efficiency. Coordinate communication, knowledge sharing, and dissemination. Organize capacity‑building activities and events. Provide surge support when required.
Qualifications
Completion of Secondary Education required. Professional/university courses in finance, accounting, or related fields desirable. At least 6 years of relevant work experience in administration, financial accounting, grant management, reporting, or clerical work. Strong computer skills with high competency in MS‑Excel. Fluency in English required; knowledge of another UN language or local language is an asset.
Desirable Experience
Previous involvement with STEP or GPE projects. Experience with UNICEF systems such as SAP. Work experience in UN agencies, development, fragile settings, or humanitarian contexts.
