Position 1: People and Culture Officer (NO‑1, Temporary Appointment – 6 months)
Role Purpose
Contribute to the effective implementation of HR services by applying knowledge and best practices while ensuring compliance with organizational policies. Provide timely HR support, coordinate initiatives, and maintain seamless service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver HR support and coordinate ongoing initiatives. Facilitate communication and workforce planning. Support HR data analytics and learning initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management, Business, International Relations, Psychology, or related fields. Minimum 1 year of relevant HR experience in an international organization or large corporation. Strong IT, research, planning, and organizational skills. Fluency in English required; knowledge of another UN language or local language is an asset.

Position 2: Chief Field Office (NO‑4, Fixed Term Appointment)
Role Purpose
Manage and lead the total programme commitment of a field office. Represent UNICEF in the Area of Responsibility, oversee program sectors and operational teams, and ensure delivery of quality results in line with UNICEF’s country programme.
Key Responsibilities
Lead multidisciplinary teams and oversee programme delivery. Manage planning, monitoring, and evaluation of field operations. Build partnerships with government, UN agencies, NGOs, and donors. Represent UNICEF in high‑level forums and external engagements.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Social Sciences, International Studies, Public Administration, Development Studies, or related fields. Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in programme management, humanitarian emergency programmes, or field operations. Proven leadership, coordination, and strategic management skills. Fluency in English required; knowledge of Amharic or another UN language is an asset.
