Role description

About the Role
The Technical Trainer is responsible for designing and delivering technical training programs for service engineers, technicians, and customers. The role ensures consistent technical capability development, improved service quality, and standardization of repair and maintenance procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Training Design & Delivery
Develop technical training modules for printers, copiers, and related equipment
Conduct classroom and hands-on training sessions
Deliver onboarding training for new technicians
Capability Development
Assess skill gaps within technical teams
Design improvement plans and refresher training programs
Support certification and competency development initiatives
Technical Documentation
Prepare training manuals, guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Update training materials based on new products and technologies
Maintain training records and attendance reports
Field & Product Support
Support complex technical troubleshooting when required
Collaborate with service engineering teams on recurring issues
Provide feedback to management on product/service improvements
Performance Monitoring
Evaluate trainee performance through tests and practical assessments
Track improvement in service quality and technician performance
Recommend certification or skill advancement decisions
What We’re Looking For
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, IT, or related field
5–7 years of technical experience in servicing office equipment
Prior training or mentoring experience is an advantage
Skills & Competencies
Strong technical knowledge of printers/copiers/multifunction devices
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to simplify complex technical concepts
Training design and facilitation skills
Problem-solving and analytical thinking
Strong documentation and reporting ability
