Swiss Church Aid (HEKS/EPER), the aid organization of the Protestant Churches of Switzerland, works globally to promote dignity, equity, and sustainable development. The Ethiopia Country Office is seeking a motivated and committed professional for the following position:
Position: Intern (Administration & Coordination Support)
Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia Employment Type: Full Time (Internship) Duration: 6 months (with potential extension to Administrative Assistant based on performance & budget) Deadline: May 1, 2026 Reports to: HEKS/EPER Country Director / ACT Ethiopia Forum Convener
Job Summary
The Intern will support administrative, coordination, and communication functions within the Country Office. This role is ideal for fresh graduates seeking hands‑on experience in NGO administration, coordination, and office support.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or final‑year student) in Administration, Communications, Social Sciences, or related fields Open to fresh graduates or candidates with up to 3 years of experience Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
Skills & Competencies
Strong interest in administration, coordination, or communications Excellent organizational and time‑management skills Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Amharic Knowledge of additional languages is an asset Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Knowledge of CANVA , Designer , Publisher , Adobe Photoshop , or other open‑source design tools is an advantage Ability to work independently and collaboratively Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
