The company is currently looking to hire a highly skilled and experienced professional for the position of Senior Legal, Insurance & Real Estate Expert.
Position: Senior Legal, Insurance & Real Estate Expert
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing legal, insurance, and real estate matters within the company. This includes ensuring compliance with Ethiopian laws and regulations, protecting company interests, and supporting business operations in collaboration with internal teams and headquarters.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Affairs
- Manage legal cases, negotiations, and contract processes
- Draft and review commercial agreements, leases, and legal documents
- Provide legal advice to management and departments, including labor law issues
- Represent the company in courts and legal institutions
- Handle dispute resolution and settlements when necessary
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure proper management and archiving of legal documents
- Monitor compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies
- Ensure payment of legal and regulatory obligations
Real Estate Management
- Oversee land acquisition, property ownership, and title documentation
- Manage permits, construction approvals, and property legal processes
- Ensure compliance with land administration regulations
Insurance Management
- Ensure adequate insurance coverage for company assets
- Coordinate with insurance providers and brokers
- Manage insurance claims and policy monitoring
About You (Requirements)
- LLB degree in Law from a recognized university
- 5–7 years of experience as a legal advisor, preferably in a corporate or law firm setting
- Experience in litigation is an added advantage
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- High integrity and ability to work in a team
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
