HST is looking for a diligent and experienced Senior HR Officer to provide professional support in HR management by handling advanced HR functions, advising managers, and ensuring smooth and effective HR operations. The Senior HR Officer will also serve as a bridge between employees and leadership, supporting a positive and productive workplace environment. Major Responsibilities Ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of HR functions and activities. Prepare and coordinate the induction and placement process for new employees. Compile, maintain, and regularly update employee records and ensure proper management of personnel files in both hard and electronic formats. Coordinate the performance review process and support the development of employee career development plans. Prepare HR documentation and reports related to personnel activities, including staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, and other HR matters. Ensure consistent and well-coordinated recruitment activities that support the firm’s strategic objectives, and conduct comprehensive staff induction programs. Maintain a thorough understanding of Ethiopian labor laws and regulations and ensure the firm’s compliance. Provide guidance and support to employees and management on labor-law-related matters. Support employee training and development programs. Assist in designing and coordinating training programs in close collaboration with the Learning Solutions Department. Track and maintain records of employees’ learning hours, participation, and training compliance. Stay up to date with emerging trends, best practices, and tools in Learning and Development. Provide professional HR advice and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employee-related matters. Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and organizational information. About You Minimum Educational Qualification and Experience Master’s degree in human resources management, Human Resource Development, or a related field. At least 7 years of relevant HR experience. Professional HR certification is an advantage. Required Job-Related Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality. Good understanding of Ethiopian labor laws and regulations and their practical application in the workplace. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong ability to work collaboratively with employees, managers, and leadership.
