The Senior Fleet Dispatch Officer is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the fleet management team at National Transport PLC. This full-time position, located in the office in Addis Ababa, requires a mid-level professional with 3-5 years of experience in logistics, transport, and supply chain. The role emphasizes efficient coordination of transport activities, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of service. Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate daily fleet operations to ensure timely and efficient transportation services.
Monitor vehicle performance and driver compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to resolve issues and improve service delivery.
Analyze transportation metrics and provide insights for continuous improvement.
Manage scheduling and dispatching of vehicles to optimize routes and reduce costs.
Develop and implement operational procedures to enhance efficiency and service quality.
Train and mentor junior fleet dispatch staff to foster team development.
Maintain accurate records of fleet activities, including maintenance, inspections, and driver performance.
