Position Director, Information Technology Services Directorate
Job Grade: 15
Workplace: Debre Birhan
Salary: As per the institution's scale
Purpose of the Job:
To ensure the Akufada’s leadership in delivering technology-supported, efficient and convenient products and services by leading the development and management of the Akufada’s information system and technology resources. The position is also responsible for ensuring rational and data-driven decision-making at all levels of the institution by leading the development and implementation of a user-friendly and flexible decision-support system.

Duties and Responsibilities
Develop short and long term strategic plan (roadmap) respecting the MFI’s IT infrastructure (hardware, information systems, security, communication systems and the like), IT application, Digital Banking and Security systems.
Consult senior-level stakeholders of the MFI (Board and executive officers) in identifying the business and technology needs of the MFI.
Lead the development of IT strategy aligned with the Akufada’s business strategy.
Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of IT governance framework.
Lead the development, implementation and follow-up of IT programs.
Lead continuous IT services improvement initiatives.
Lead the establishment of and adherence to IT service quality standards.
Lead the development, implementation and follow-up of IT enterprise architecture.
Develop mutually advantageous and sustainable relationship with IT service and solution providers.
Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of IT policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisors.
Qualifications and experience
Master’s degree or BSc Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related fields.
A minimum of eight (8) or ten (10) years of experience preferably in the financial industry of which a minimum of two (2) or three (3) years in a managerial position.
