Golden Petroleum PLC is inviting qualified and experienced professionals to apply for the following position. The company operates in the fuel and energy sector in Ethiopia and is looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join its finance team.

Position: Senior Accountant

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Accounting & Finance
• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant post-graduation experience
• Strong experience in the fuel and energy industry is highly preferred
• Proficiency in Sage 300 (ACCPAC) accounting software is required

Key Skills

• Strong communication and reporting skills
• Hands-on experience with Sage 300 (ACCPAC)
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records in line with company policies and regulations
• Prepare monthly and annual financial reports, budgets, and reconciliations
• Oversee daily accounting activities and ensure proper general ledger management
• Monitor expenses, manage cash flow, and support tax and audit processes
• Use Sage 300 (ACCPAC) for financial transactions, reporting, and inventory tracking
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate financial data flow
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing of accounts
