Role description

Position Overview:
Dream Orthopedics, Trauma and Spine Center
is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated a Healthcare senior Accountant. The ideal candidate should hold a BA Degree in accounting with minimum (05) year or more of relevant work experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with government regulations, and healthcare financial reporting standards.
Oversee billing, invoicing, and revenue recognition for medical services provided.
Ensure accurate patient billing, insurance claims processing, and timely collections.
Monitor receivables from patients, insurance companies, and third-party payers.
Track and analyze costs related to medical services, departments, and service lines.
Support management in pricing decisions and cost-control initiatives.
Support the preparation of annual budgets and departmental budgets in collaboration with clinical and administrative units.
Monitor budget utilization and analyze variances between actual and planned expenditures.
Provide financial forecasts based on patient volumes, service utilization, and operational trends.
Schedule accounts payable, including payments to suppliers of pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, and consumables.
Ensure timely and accurate payment processing in accordance with procurement policies and contracts.
Verify invoices against purchase orders, delivery notes, and service agreements.
Prepare payroll accounting for clinical and non-clinical staff, including overtime, on-call allowances, and professional fees.
Ensure accurate accounting of staff benefits, statutory deductions, and tax obligations.
Ensure timely filing and payment of healthcare-related taxes, including VAT, withholding tax, payroll tax, and other statutory contributions.
Prepare documentation and responses for tax audits and inspections.
Follow up daily cash collections from patient services and other revenue sources are collected and banked intact.
Recording accounting data to accounting software.

Qualifications and skills:
Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Accounting finance
Minimum  5 years’ relevant work experience
