Role description

SAMANU is a platform company with well-established brands operating in Ethiopia’s main FMCG sub-sectors (Tena Edible Oils, 555 and Aura Soap & Detergents, and Chef Luca wheat products).

Currently SAMANU imports raw sunflower oil, mostly from Eastern Europe, and refines and packages it locally. With the new investment, it will construct a solvent extraction plant that will allow it to produce raw oil from locally-grown sunflowers.

Position 1: Outbound officer

QUALIFICATIONS: –

  • Diploma or BA degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Management, Accounting, or a related field.

Experience: –

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in warehouse operations, dispatch, or logistics

Location: Kality

Position 2: Production Supervisors

QUALIFICATIONS: –

  • Diploma/TVET /BSc in Engineering, Process Technology, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Previous manufacturing people-leadership experience 
  • Experience in HAZOPs and Safety approval systems (e.g. SIMAS)
  • Knowledge of MS Office, SAP & SCADA

Experience: –

  •  Diploma/TVET: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in technology, engineering, process operations, or supervisory roles within a manufacturing environment.
  • BSc Degree: 0 years of experience required; fresh graduates are welcome.

Position 3: Machinist

QUALIFICATIONS: –

Level IV, diploma, or equivalent technical qualification in General Machining, Machine Technology, or a related field.

Experience: –

2–3 years of relevant machining or mechanical workshop experience.

Position 4: Operator

QUALIFICATIONS: –TVET Diploma in Mechanical Technology, General Mechanics, Industrial Production, or a BSc degree in Machine Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: –2 years of relevant experience for TVET Diploma holders and 0 years (fresh graduates are welcome) for BSc degree holders in Machine Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
