Job Summary
The Sales Accountant is responsible for managing financial aspects related to sales transactions, ensuring accurate invoicing, billing, and record-keeping of sales revenue and receivables.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare and process sales invoices and receipts.
Ensure the accuracy of billing and payments related to sales transactions.
Track and reconcile sales revenue against invoices and payments.
Maintain and update sales accounting records, including credit and data collections.
Collaborate with the sales team to ensure accurate pricing and payment terms.
Prepare financial reports related to sales and revenue.
Monitor overdue accounts and work with the finance team to resolve issues.
Support financial audits by providing necessary sales-related documentation.
Assist in preparing sales forecasts and budgeting.
Analyze sales trends and provide reports to senior management.
Periodically monitor, measure, analyze, and evaluate the food safety management systems compliance and enhance performance.
Continually validate, verify, review, improve, and update the food safety management system for the continuing suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness of the system.
Establish, implement, document, maintain and continually improve the food safety management system (ISO 22000) in the operations.
Execute additional ad-hoc financial tasks and special projects assigned by management to support changing business needs.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive financial data and proprietary company information.
Exercise professional judgment and discretion when handling escalated billing disputes or sensitive client account negotiations.
Education and Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
2 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on sales.
Training
Accounting and invoicing software (e.g., Peachtree, QuickBooks, SAP).
Financial reporting and reconciliation.
Knowledge of tax laws related to sales transactions.
Skills Needed
Strong understanding of sales accounting and invoicing procedures.
Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to reconcile and track financial transactions accurately.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with sales teams.
