Naflet Hotel is inviting qualified and experienced applicants to apply for the following senior-level position. The hotel is seeking a highly skilled professional to manage its room division and front office operations in Adama, Oromia.
Position: Room Division Manager / Director
Required Qualifications & Experience
- BA Degree or higher in Hotel Management, Tourism, Management, or related fields
- Minimum of 7 years relevant work experience
- At least 5 years in supervisory or management roles in a three-star or higher hotel
- Strong background in front office operations (mandatory)
Skills & Competencies
- Strong interpersonal and people management skills
- Ability to work with diverse teams and guests from different backgrounds
- Excellent spoken and written English; additional languages are an advantage
- Good computer skills and familiarity with hotel management systems (e.g., PEDS or similar software)
- Strong understanding of hospitality industry operations and standards
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate front desk, telephone, bell service, business center, housekeeping, and health club operations
- Monitor room status and coordinate closely with front office and report to finance and general management
- Manage smooth guest check-in and check-out processes for both individuals and groups
- Prepare and distribute room occupancy forecasts to relevant departments
- Ensure efficient room allocation, revenue collection, and timely service delivery
- Apply room pricing strategies to maximize occupancy and revenue
- Maintain proper organization of hotel information for easy access
- Ensure guest safety, privacy, and security at all times
- Review daily room sales and revenue reports and submit them to the finance department
- Plan, organize, and supervise housekeeping operations
