1. Role Overview
Engirise Private Limited is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Regional Manager to lead its operations, sales, and business development activities in Ethiopia. The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening the company’s market presence in the heavy machinery and construction equipment sector, managing regional teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders across Ethiopia.
2. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage regional operations in Ethiopia, ensuring alignment with Engirise Private Limited’s strategic objectives and operational standards.
Develop and implement business growth strategies to expand market presence, revenue, and customer base in Ethiopia.
Build and maintain strong relationships with government authorities, contractors, distributors, customers, and other strategic partners.
Oversee sales targets, pricing strategies, customer satisfaction initiatives, and regional performance indicators.
Ensure compliance with Ethiopian business laws, import and export regulations, tax requirements, and applicable industry standards.
Coordinate with headquarters in India on procurement, logistics, financial planning, reporting, and operational execution.
Monitor competitor activity, customer demand, and market trends to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks.
Manage recruitment, training, supervision, and performance evaluation of regional staff.
Implement cost-control measures and operational efficiencies.
Represent the company at industry events and stakeholder engagements.
3. Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Management, or related field.
10–15 years of relevant experience in regional management.
Strong understanding of Ethiopian market and regulations.
Proven leadership and communication skills.
Strong commercial and operational management capability.
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
Ability to lead multicultural teams.
4. Preferred Attributes
Experience managing large-scale projects and budgets.
Familiarity with international logistics and procurement.
Knowledge of compliance standards in machinery sector.
Fluency in English; Amharic is an advantage.
