Role description
One Acre Fund is inviting qualified and motivated applicants to apply for the MEL Data Automation Officer Internship in Ethiopia. This internship offers an opportunity for young professionals to gain practical experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) while supporting data-driven agricultural development programs.
Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund supports more than four million smallholder farmers across Africa by providing agricultural inputs, training, credit, and other services that help improve farm productivity, income, and climate resilience. The organization is currently seeking one intern to join its Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) team.

Internship Overview
The successful candidate will support the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) team by working on data management, analysis, visualization, and reporting activities. The internship includes onboarding, training, mentorship, and practical experience on projects that contribute to improving agricultural productivity and farmer outcomes.
The intern will report directly to the MEL Leads.
Key Responsibilities
Clean and analyze primary data collected from farmers and markets. Visualize data and generate actionable reports. Develop and maintain automated dashboards. Support data-driven decision-making within the MEL team.
Educational Qualification
Degree in: Economics Statistics Related field
Required Qualifications and Skills
Experience cleaning and analyzing large datasets. Proficiency in R or Stata . Skills in data visualization and report writing. Fluency in English. Previous relevant experience is an advantage, preferably at least one (1) year.
Eligibility
This internship is open only to:
Ethiopian citizens or permanent residents of Ethiopia. Ugandan citizens or permanent residents of Uganda.
Start Date
As soon as possible.
