Role description
National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) is an independent organization established in accordance with Article 102 of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
Since January 2019, in an effort to reform NEBE, the House of Peoples’ Representatives enacted a new proclamation that reduced the management board to five members that serve full time for a period of six years.
Position 1: Junior Budget Expert I
Education and Work Experience:
- Masters or Bachelors in Accounting & Finance, Economics, Business or related field.
- 0 years for Masters or 3 years for BA.
Required Skills:
- Develop financial models to simulate different financial scenarios and assess their impact on the organization.
- Utilize financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning purposes.

Position 2: Junior Finance Expert II
Education and Work Experience:
- Masters or BA degree in Accounting and Finance, Management, or related fields.
- 2 years for Masters or 4 years relevant experience for BA.
Technical Competencies:
- Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis tools, and financial management.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ethical mindset with a commitment to transparency, integrity, and responsible financial practices.
- Accounting Principles (GAAP), IFRS and ERP.
- Experience and knowledge of IFMIS, IFRIS is required.
