National Election Board of Ethiopia Vacancy 2026

National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) is an independent organization established in accordance with Article 102 of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.

Since January 2019, in an effort to reform NEBE, the House of Peoples’ Representatives enacted a new proclamation that reduced the management board to five members that serve full time for a period of six years.

Position 1: Election Legal Assistant

Education and Work Experience: 

• 3 year and Bachelors |0 years and Masters in LLB or LLM.

Duty station: NEBE Head Quarter, Addis Ababa

Position 2: Liaison Officer

Education and Working Experience:

• BA degree or Diploma in Management, Business Management or any other related fields.
• 1 years for BA holders and 3 years for Diploma holders

Position 3: Packing and Dispatching Junior Expert I

Education and Work Experience: 

• MA or BA degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Accounting and Finance, Business management or related field.
• 5 years for Masters or 7 years for Degree relevant Experience.

Position 4: Gender Expert

Education and Work Experience:

• MA degree or BA Degree in Gender and Development Studies, Sociology, Social Work, Political Science, Law or any other related fields
• 7 years for BA holders and  5 years for MA holders

Position 5: Political Parties Support Expert

Education and Work Experience: 

• MA or BA degree in Law, political Science, Human Rights, International Relations or any related field.
• 5 years for Masters or 7 years for Degree relevant Experience.

Position 6: Political Parties Liaison Expert

Education and Work Experience: 

• MA/M.Sc./BA in political Science, Development Studies, Human Rights, law or related field.

Education and Working Experience:

• BA/BSc/MA/M.Sc. in Project Planning and Management, Economics, Statistics, and related fields.
• Requirements on Professional Experiences:

Education and Work Experience: 

• BA or MA degree in Economics, Statistics, Math, Management, and other relevant fields

Position 9: Senior Communication Expert

Education and Work Experience: 

• MA degree or BA Degree in Journalism, Communication, Political Science Law or any other related fields.
• 8 years for BA holders and 7 years for MA holders from which 4 years in leadership position.

Position 10: Head, Finance and Budget Department

Education and Work Experience:

• MA degree or PHD in Accounting and Finance , Business management or related field.
• 10 years for Master’s or 8 years for PHD (4 years in leadership position)

Position 11: Deputy Head – Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (PMEL) Department

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• MA/MSc or Ph.D. in Economics, Statistics, Math, Management, and other relevant fields
• 9 years and Masters | 7 years and Ph.D. | 4 years in a leadership role
• Knowledge of PMEA or MEAL system, preferably in the context of elections or governance-related programs.

Education and Work Experience: 

• MA degree or PHD in Social Work, Business Administration, Sociology, Civics Education, Political Science and International Relations, Law, Public Administration, Pedagogical Studies, Education, Development Studies, and related social science fields.
• 9 years for Masters or 7 years for PHD (4 years in leadership position)

Position 13: Deputy Head – Election Training Department

Education and Work Experience: 

• MA or Ph.D in Human Resource Management, Management, Teaching and other relevant fields
• 9 years and Masters | 7 years and Ph.D. | 4 years in a leadership role

Position 14: Deputy Head, General Service Department

Education and Work Experience: 

• Ph.D.| master’s in business administration, Public Administration, Facilities Management, Logistics & Supply Chain, Civil Engineering, or other related fields.
• 9 years and Masters | 7 years and Ph.D.| 4 years in a leadership role.
