Role description

Position 1: Junior Utility Technician
Education:
- TVET Level V Diploma in Electricity or Industrial Electricity from a recognized institution.
Work Experience:
- No prior work experience is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of utility equipment.
- Support senior technicians during preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Assist in troubleshooting utility system problems.
- Participate in equipment installation and maintenance activities.
- Maintain maintenance records and equipment logs.
- Ensure proper housekeeping of the workshop and utility facilities.
- Follow Company safety rules and operational procedures.
- Perform other related duties assigned by supervisors.
Required Competencies:
- Basic knowledge of electrical and utility systems.

Position 2: Utility Technician
Education:
- TVET Level V Diploma in Electricity or Industrial Electricity from a recognized institution.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on utility systems and equipment.
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and utility equipment.
- Operate utility systems, including water, compressed air, and air conditioning systems.
- Maintain maintenance records and equipment logs.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and Company standards.
- Identify and report equipment faults requiring further maintenance.
- Assist in maintaining workshop tools and equipment.
- Work closely with the Utility & Auxiliary Maintenance team to ensure uninterrupted services.
Required Competencies:
- Good knowledge of electrical and utility systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems.

Position 3: Senior Utility & Auxiliary Engineer
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience, of which 3 years must be in a managerial or supervisory position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the operation and maintenance of utility and auxiliary systems, including electrical, mechanical, water, compressed air, air conditioning, and building facilities.
- Design, implement, and improve utility infrastructure and maintenance programs.
- Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability.
- Monitor utility system performance and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate maintenance activities and troubleshoot utility system failures.
- Prepare technical reports, maintenance records, and performance reports.
- Ensure compliance with Company policies, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance personnel.
- Participate in problem-solving and root cause analysis activities.
- Collaborate with production and other departments to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
