JaRco Consulting is an international consulting company, established in 2007, with offices in the United States and Ethiopia. Since its establishment, JaRco has provided technical support in monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL), as well as data collection for development and humanitarian programs.

JaRco is committed to continuously enhancing evidence-based interventions and programs that aim to improve the well-being of individuals and communities, with a particular focus on the most vulnerable populations in Ethiopia and throughout sub-Saharan Africa.

Position: Communications Intern

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Background:  

• BA degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Development Studies, Marketing, English, or a related field, with a strong academic track record (CGPA ≥ 3.5 and an Exit Exam score ≥75th percentile).
• An MA/MSc in a relevant discipline is preferred.

Language Proficiency:

• High professional proficiency in written and spoken English, paired with good written and verbal communication skills in Amharic.

Digital Literacy:

• Familiarity with social media platforms (especially LinkedIn); basic knowledge of website updating (WordPress) is a plus.

Design & Tools:

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Canva (experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a bonus).

Skills & Attributes:

• Strong attention to detail, eagerness to learn, effective time management, and a high degree of integrity and teamwork.
