Lalo Bake Business Unit is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical Junior Cost Control Officer to support our hospitality division.

This is an entry-level role (0 years of experience) designed for a motivated graduate eager to learn. Working under the guidance of the hospitality finance team, the successful candidate will assist in implementing cost-control systems to ensure financial efficiency across F&B, housekeeping, and utilities.

Position: Junior Cost Control Officer

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Experience: 0 years of experience / Fresh Graduate. Prior internship experience in a hotel or restaurant setting is a plus but not required.
• Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of accounting principles and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) or ERP systems is an advantage.
• Core Competencies: Strong analytical mind, high attention to detail, good mathematical skills, and a strong willingness to learn.
• Languages: Native fluency in Amharic and professional proficiency in written and spoken English.

Key Responsibilities

• Cost Monitoring: Assist in tracking day-to-day expenses for both front and back-of-house operations, including Food & Beverage (F&B) and utilities.
• Inventory Verification: Participate in regular physical stock counts, inventory audits, and variance analyses for hotel supplies and kitchen provisions.
• Data Entry & Reporting: Compile and input financial data into cost-control spreadsheets and internal management systems.
• Wastage Control: Help monitor portion control, kitchen waste, and spoilage reports to maximize cost efficiency without compromising quality.

Invoice Checking: Verify supplier invoices against purchase orders and receiving logs to ensure pricing accuracy
