Supply and Delivery of Improved Fruit Seedlings, Coffee Seedlings, and Vegetable Seeds for Yayu Project Beneficiaries
Introduction
HRNS-Ethiopia (Hanns R. Neumann Stiftung) is an international non-governmental organization implementing sustainable agriculture and climate resilience projects in Ethiopia. Under the Yayu Project, HRNS-Ethiopia invites qualified suppliers to submit sealed bids for the supply and delivery of improved fruit seedlings, coffee seedlings, and vegetable seeds for selected beneficiaries, youth groups, women groups, and demonstration plots in Yayu Coffee Forest Biosphere Reserve.
About the Organization
HRNS works to empower smallholder coffee farmers and promote sustainable agricultural development through climate-smart agriculture, environmental conservation, biodiversity protection, and livelihood diversification. The Yayu Project aims to strengthen climate resilience and improve household income through sustainable farming practices and crop diversification.
Objective of the Assignment
The objective of this procurement is to purchase and deliver quality fruit seedlings, coffee seedlings, and vegetable seeds to project beneficiaries and demonstration plots to support climate adaptation, agroforestry development, food security, and income diversification initiatives.
Scope of Supply
The selected supplier(s) shall supply and deliver the following items:

All seedlings must be healthy, vigorous, disease-free, and suitable for the agroecological conditions of the target areas. Fruit and coffee seedlings must be supplied in polybags, except banana seedlings. Preferred avocado varieties include Hass and Fuerte or equivalent adaptive varieties.
Submission Requirements
Interested and eligible suppliers are invited to submit:
Technical Proposal
Company profile and organizational information
Valid business license and registration certificate
Valid TIN and VAT registration certificate
Evidence of experience in supplying agricultural inputs, seedlings, and seeds
References from similar assignments completed during the last three years
Description of nursery facilities and quality assurance procedures
Delivery plan and implementation schedule
Financial Proposal
The financial proposal should clearly indicate:
Unit price per seedling and seed type
Transportation and delivery costs
Applicable taxes (VAT)
Total bid price
Delivery Location and Timeline
The successful bidder shall deliver the required seedlings and seeds to designated locations in Yayu, Hurumu, and Alge-Sachi Woredas of Oromia Region according to the agreed distribution schedule.
Expected delivery period:
June 25 – July 15, 2026
