Position: Climate Finance Research Intern
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Economics, Agricultural Economics, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Studies/Science, Development Studies, Economics, Sociology, or related fields. Must have graduated within the last two years.
Experience & Skills
Demonstrated interest in climate finance, sustainability, or development financing. Experience in academic or professional research. Understanding of climate change adaptation and mitigation concepts. Knowledge of carbon markets and financing mechanisms is an advantage. Experience in policy analysis, stakeholder mapping, or donor research desirable. Strong analytical, research, and report‑writing skills. Ability to synthesize complex information into actionable outputs. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet‑based research tools. Excellent written and spoken English.
Benefits
Daily rate: ETB 1000 (subject to taxes). Practical experience in climate finance and research within HI. Exposure to international NGO operations and networks.
