Human Resources Manager
to lead our HR strategy, enhance employee productivity, and foster a healthy working environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with the operations team and senior management to align HR initiatives with the company’s long-term strategic goals.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. HR Strategy and Planning
Design, develop, and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures that support the company’s growth objectives.
Conduct workforce planning to forecast staffing needs based on factory production requirements.
2. Recruitment and Talent Acquisition
Recruit, interview, and hire talented professionals, with a specific focus on manufacturing and chemical engineering roles.
Manage the on-boarding and orientation process to ensure new hires smoothly integrate into the company culture and operations.
3. Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment
Collaborate with Safety Officers to ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations within the chemical plant.
Organize awareness programs and safety training to minimize workplace hazards and incidents.
4. Performance Management and Development
Establish and monitor a robust employee Performance Appraisal system.
Identify training needs across various departments and organize capacity-building programs to enhance workforce skills.
5. Employee Relations and Legal Compliance
Maintain a healthy communication channel between employees and management; mediate and resolve workplace grievances and conflicts constructively.
Ensure all HR practices strictly comply with the Ethiopian Labor Law and relevant statutory regulations.
6. Compensation and Benefits Administration
Oversee and ensure the accurate implementation of payroll, allowances, medical insurance, and other employee benefits.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration (MBA), Industrial Management, or a related field.
Experience:
7
to 10 years
of progressive experience in HR management, out of which 3 to 5 years in supervisory position. (experience working within a manufacturing or PLC setup is highly preferred).
Key Skills and Competencies:
Deep and thorough knowledge of the Ethiopian Labor Law.
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
Proficiency in using computers and HR Management Systems (HRIS).
Excellent communication skills in both Amharic and English (written and spoken)

As per the Company Salary scale but negotiable
