Internship Opportunity
The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Management Intern to join its Staff Benefits Unit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Organizational Overview
The Staff Benefits Unit oversees the administration of employee benefits and entitlements while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures. The unit plays a key role in delivering efficient human resource services to staff members.
The selected intern will support administrative operations, records management, and coordination activities related to archived staff documentation. The role will be carried out under the supervision of the Chief of the Staff Benefits Unit and/or the Staff Benefits Officer.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing routine reports, tracking sheets, and data summaries to support unit activities.
- Collaborate with the Strategy and Information Management Unit in reviewing and auditing archived records.
- Support the examination of archived files to ensure completeness and proper documentation.
- Help identify missing, incomplete, or inconsistent records and assist in corrective follow-up actions.
- Contribute to the collection, compilation, and submission of monthly reports and data inputs.
- Perform additional administrative and operational tasks assigned by supervisors as part of professional development and learning.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- Be currently enrolled in or have completed a graduate-level academic program (Master’s degree or equivalent); or
- Be enrolled in or have completed the final year of a Bachelor's degree program or equivalent.

Language Requirements
- Fluency in English is required.
- Knowledge of another official United Nations language is considered an advantage.

Internship Conditions
- This internship is unpaid.
