Job Summary:
The HR & Talent Intern is a paid internship designed for fresh graduates who want to build a meaningful career in Human Resources. This role provides hands-on support to the HR function at Kavod Commercial Real Estate, working directly under the HR Officer. The intern assists with talent acquisition, onboarding, employee records, HR documentation, attendance tracking, basic reporting, employee engagement, employer branding, and compliance. No prior work experience is required – only a proactive attitude, strong communication skills, and a genuine desire to learn HR in a real business environment. The intern receives weekly mentorship and structured training.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Talent Coordination
Assist with job postings across platforms, screen CVs against defined criteria, coordinate interview schedules, communicate with candidates, and maintain recruitment trackers.
Onboarding & Offboarding Management
Support the preparation of onboarding packs, coordinate equipment and system setup, ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner
Employee Records & Data Integrity
Maintain up-to-date, accurate employee files – both physical and digital – including personal data, contracts, performance records, and confidential HR documents.
HR Documentation & Policy Support
Draft employment letters, contract templates, offer letters, and HR forms. Ensure all documents meet internal standards and are filed systematically for audit readiness.
Attendance, Leave & Workforce Reporting
Track daily attendance, manage leave records, and compile monthly HR reports covering headcount, leave utilization, and key people metrics for management review.
Employee Relations & Engagement Support
Help plan and coordinate internal events, recognition programs, and communications. Support creation of LinkedIn content and employer brand material.
HR Compliance & Process Improvement
Assist with document filing, follow up on submission deadlines, and support the People & HR team with operational and administrative tasks as required.
Salary & Benefits:
Monthly Net Salary of ETB 5,000

Education:
Recently completed in any field of study (HRM, Business, Management, Psychology, Engineering, IT, Arts, Science, Law, Education, Agriculture, Health Sciences, or any other discipline).
No prior work experience required.
English Proficiency:
Strong written and spoken English is essential. You must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in emails, documents, and day-to-day workplace interactions.
Communication & People Skills:
Confident and clear communicator – whether speaking with colleagues, drafting a document, or following up on a task. You express yourself well and listen actively.
Willingness to Learn:
You are curious, open to feedback, and genuinely excited about building a career in HR. You ask questions, take notes, and apply what you learn quickly and consistently.
Proactive Attitude:
You take initiative without waiting to be told. You identify what needs to be done and you do it – with care, reliability, and a positive team-first mindset.
