Position: Purchasing Coordinator
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS) are a plus.
Proven experience as a procurement Coordinator or in a similar procurement role, with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
Knowledge of procurement regulations, policies, and best practices.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to identify potential vendors.
Manage the procurement process, including issuing purchase orders, negotiating terms, and tracking deliveries.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and ethical standards.
Collaborate with internal departments to determine their procurement needs and requirements.
Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and other relevant criteria.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and conditions.
Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize procurement processes.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in procurement.
