1. Component Manager – Oilseed Sector (SRVC II Project)

About the Role
The Component Manager will coordinate all activities related to the Oilseed sector value chain (production, processing, trading, mechanization, post‑harvest management, inputs, and policies). The role involves collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, technical component leaders, civil society, and international partners. The position is part of the project management team and reports directly to the Project Leader.
Qualification Requirements
PhD in Agriculture, Crop Science Knowledge of project management and result monitoring tools Strong understanding of Ethiopian agricultural sector and institutional setup Experience with GIZ management tools (Capacity Works, PuR, KUF) is an asset Fluent in English and Amharic

2. Executive Management Assistant – GIZ Country Office
Job Code: #048/2026 Career Level: Senior (5–8 years) Work Experience: Minimum 5 years in executive management support Number Required: 1
About the Role
The Executive Management Assistant provides direct support to the Country Director , Deputy Country Director, and Director of Administration & Finance. Responsibilities include managing correspondence, calendars, meetings, travel itineraries, and handling high‑ranking visitors. The role also supports internal and external communications, PR activities, and event organization for GIZ Ethiopia and Djibouti.
Qualification Requirements
BSc in Communication, Business Administration, or related field (focus on PR/communications) Proven experience in executive management support and communications Excellent written and oral English; German language skills are an asset Strong IT proficiency (MS Office, Outlook, SAP, DMS, Concur, Teams, PowerPoint) Highly organized multitasker with excellent time management and interpersonal skills
