Flipper International School invites fresh and qualified applicants for the following job positions.

Flipper International School was founded in 1998 by Mrs Serkaddis Seifu and Mrs Menna Selamu. Seeing the lack of a comprehensive nursery in the city, the school was initially established to provide a loving and stimulating place for preschoolers to embark on their educational journey. 

Over the years, our school has gained a remarkable reputation and has since become one of the most sought-after preschools and primary schools in Addis Ababa. 

Position: Learning Assistants

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
  • A teaching license or registration, PGDT (where required by the education authority).
  • Relevant teaching or classroom support experience (preferred but not always required).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Office and educational technology.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents.
  • Strong command of the language of instruction (e.g., English).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in preparing instructional materials and resources.
  • Support classroom management by helping to maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Coordinate and schedule educational activities and events.
  • Provide administrative support, including record-keeping and communication with parents.
  • Facilitate student engagement through creative learning activities.
  • Help in the assessment and evaluation of student progress.
  • Maintain an organized filing system for student records and resources.
  • Assist in the development of lesson plans and educational content.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions.
