Role description

The Director of Corporate Services and Strategic Partnerships provide strategic leadership and oversight for MSI Ethiopia Reproductive Choices' corporate support functions and external engagement portfolio. The position ensures operational excellence in procurement, supply chain, fleet, facilities, and administrative services while driving organizational growth through strategic partnerships, resource mobilization, advocacy, donor engagement, and government relations.

Country Director/Deputy Country Director
The role serves as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), contributing to organizational strategy, sustainability, compliance, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership and Organizational Development
Serve as an active member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Contribute to organizational strategy, annual business planning, and performance reviews.
Lead initiatives that improve organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability.
Ensure alignment between operational support functions and organizational growth objectives.
Provide strategic advice to the Country Director on external relations and corporate services.
2. Strategic Partnerships and Business Development
Develop and implement MSI Ethiopia's partnership and resource mobilization strategy.
Identify and pursue new funding opportunities from bilateral, multilateral, foundation, and private-sector donors.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with development partners.
Lead proposal development and consortium-building efforts.
Strengthen organizational visibility and positioning within the reproductive health sector.
Coordinate strategic partnerships that contribute to organizational growth and impact.
3. Government Relations and Advocacy
Lead engagement with federal and regional government stakeholders.
Maintain productive relationships with relevant ministries and regulatory bodies.
Support policy dialogue and advocacy initiatives aligned with MSI Ethiopia's mission.
Monitor policy developments affecting sexual and reproductive health services.
Represent MSI Ethiopia in national forums, technical working groups, and strategic platforms.
4. Communications and External Affairs
Provide strategic oversight of organizational communications.
Ensure effective internal and external communication strategies.
Strengthen MSI Ethiopia's brand and public profile.
Oversee media engagement and stakeholder communications.
Ensure communication products effectively demonstrate organizational impact.
5. Procurement and Supply Chain Oversight
Ensure procurement processes are compliant, transparent, and value-driven.
Oversee procurement planning and supplier relationship management.
Ensure effective contract management and vendor performance monitoring.
Support strategic sourcing initiatives to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness.
6. Facilities, Fleet, and Administrative Services Management
Provide strategic oversight of fleet, facilities, security, and office administration.
Ensure efficient management of organizational assets and infrastructure.
Monitor compliance with safety, security, and operational standards.
Ensure continuity of operations through effective administrative support systems.
7. Risk, Compliance, and Governance
Ensure compliance with MSI Global policies and local regulatory requirements.
Support organizational risk management and mitigation efforts.
Strengthen internal controls related to procurement and administration.
Promote ethical conduct, safeguarding, anti-fraud, and accountability standards.
Support internal and external audit processes.
Education
Master's Degree in one of the following:
Business Administration
Public Administration
International Development
Strategic Management
Communications
Public Policy
Related field
Experience
Minimum 10 years of progressive management experience.
At least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Demonstrated experience in:
Business development and fundraising.
Government and donor engagement.
Strategic partnerships.
Corporate services management.
Procurement and operational oversight.
Experience within international NGOs, healthcare organizations, or development agencies preferred.
