DHL Global Forwarding Ethiopia is the platform where you will facilitate the realization of IRR benefits and enhance operational resilience by transitioning traditional ‘analog’ business processes and practices to fully implement the IT renewal roadmap solutions. This transformation will revolutionize the country through the integration of our digital technologies throughout the entire business, including digital customer interactions and experiences across the complete customer portfolio.
Position 1: Country Manager Ethiopia
Education & experience
- University degree and relevant commercial / business qualifications.
- Significant experience in Senior management or General management experience in the express / logistics / aviation industry or within similar service related businesses.
- Broad understanding of all functional aspects of the business and sound experience managing a complete Profit and Loss entity of relatively similar size.
- High degree of business acumen and understanding of the external economic environment and how this may affect DHL’s short and long term planning.
- Exceptional leader and motivator of people that displays exceptional DHL leadership attributes.
- Must be able to speak and write fluently in English

Expected Qualification
• Post-graduate qualification in financial management
• Honours Degree
• Professional accountancy qualification
• Excellent knowledge of IRFS, company/corporate tax
• Compliance and customs regulatory environment exposure.
Experience
• Minimum of 10 years in financial management experience in an international service environment with at least 5 years of experience in global express and/or freight forwarding business
• Excellent operational process knowledge with strategic perspective
