Credit Coordinator - OLA ENERGY ETHIOPIA LIMITED

Role description
OLA Energy Ethiopia Limited is a Company engaged in marketing Oil & Gas Products in Ethiopia. We would like to recruit a Credit Coordinator, who can join our diverse and talented Finance team. Major duties and accountabilities:
• No accounts to be over credit limits or overdue without authorization as per the manual of authority.
• Follow each and every account status, see if there are any irregularities, and inform the business line managers and the General Manager.
• Follow up with the A/C holder to make sure all receipts are allocated within 3 working days.
• Keep track record of the bounced cheques and discuss with Class of Business managers as to what measures needed to be taken.
• Assess the credit risks of customers for the exposure level to be taken or already taken and give a professional judgment on the credit proposals done by Marketing.
• Communicate B/Ls for over dues more than 90 days for debt clearing and take action as per the Senior Credit Control Committee’s decision on bad debt provision as per the Delegation of Authority.
• Progressively reduce overdue account in OLA Energy, accounts above 360 days.
• Keep Record of any disputed amounts and follow their clearance.
• With the Class of Business managers, develop strict and regular overdue debt collection plans with customers.
• Engage Class of Businesses (CoBs) in initiatives to recover amounts in bad debts provisions.
• Produce the agreed credit Management Information accurately and on a timely basis.
• Conduct senior and junior credit committees meetings on a monthly basis and follow-up agreed subsequent actions.
• Ensure timely production of reports required to act proactively with Sales Teams Bi-weekly
• Increase number of accounts with securities
• Develop and train back-up staff for the position.
• Net-working with other unit credit managers to share best practices
• Implement SHE (Safety Health and Environment) action items.
Competencies/Skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Very good team player
• Knowledge of the use of computers, i.e., MS Word and MS-Excel
• Good communication skill
Qualifications of successful candidate
• Essential: BA Degree in Accounting/Finance,
• Desirable: Certification in Accounting plus to BA degree (ACCA, CPA, etc.)
• 5 to 6 years’ working experience
• Language: Good command of Amharic and English
Language Requirements (Essential):
Essential: Proficiency in English and Amharic
Salary: As per the Company’s scale
