Shining Stone International Business PLC is inviting qualified applicants to apply for the position of Cashier Accountant. The company operates in Addis Ababa and is looking for a detail-oriented finance professional to manage cash handling, reporting, and daily financial operations.

Position: Cashier Accountant

Qualifications & Experience

• BA Degree in Accounting, Accounting & Finance, or related fields
• 3+ years of relevant work experience
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar position
• Construction industry experience is an added advantage

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Reconcile daily cash collections with bank deposits and resolve discrepancies
• Ensure all collected cash is deposited to the bank on a daily basis
• Monitor and evaluate cashier performance and provide feedback
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of customer transactions
• Prepare cash-related reports and financial documents
• Provide necessary supplies and support to cashiers (e.g., cash registers, receipt materials)
• Handle bank deposits and withdrawals following company policies
• Safeguard cash and financial documents according to procedures
• Process payments against approved documents and payroll
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits, and customer change as required
• Maintain proper records of vouchers, checks, and approvals
• Reconcile total cash received with payments made
