Role description
Buusaa Gonofaa Microfinance invites interested and qualified applicants for the following positions.
Buusaa Gonofaa Microfinance S.C (BG MF S.C) was founded in 1999 and regulated by the National Bank of Ethiopia that provides a flexible and efficient financial service on sustainable basis to improve the livelihood and productivity of low-income groups with particular focus on women, the youth and smallholder farmers through the provision of credit and savings products and services.
Position: Senior Risk and Compliance Officer
Educational Qualification and Experience:
- BA degree in Business administration, Finance, Economics, management and related fields with Eight years of relevant work experience.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field with six years of relevant work experience.
- Additionally, an LLB degree in law is an advantag
- Professional background related to Risk management, legal services, compliance, or governance (advantage).
Skill and Competence required:
- Practical experience in risk assessment, compliance monitoring, and internal control systems preferably in microfinance or financial institutions
- Experience in AML/CTF monitoring and fraud detection is an advantage
- Proven experience coordinating with internal units and external stakeholders on compliance matters.

- Regulatory Compliance and NBE Directives
- Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) frameworks
- Risk Management and Compliance Monitoring
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven proficiency in English, Afan Oromo, and Amharic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Audit and investigation skills
- Regulatory Reporting and Documentation
