About the Role
The Administration and Finance Officer manages the day-to-day finance, accounting, and administration of Birrama's component of the IRIF project, ensuring compliance with Birrama, parteners and donors requirements, and producing timely, accurate financial reports.
Net Salary & Benefits:
23,400 ETB/month

Key Responsibilities
Maintain the project's books of accounts and process all payments (vendors, staff claims, partner transfers) in line with Birrama policies and international standards.
Prepare monthly reconciliations and quarterly donor-format financial reports for the Project Manager and Farm Africa.
Track expenditure against budget and flag variances and financial risks.
Manage procurement, asset registers, and project records (physical and digital) for audit purposes.
Handle HR administration for project staff (onboarding, leave, timesheets) and support budget planning and audits.
Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax and labor laws and donor regulations.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; professional certification is an advantage.
Minimum 2 years' finance and administration experience,
including mandatory at least 1 year experience on local or international NGO / internationally donor-funded projects.
Proficiency in computerized accounting software (Peachtree, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel.
Working knowledge of IFRS/IPSAS and donor financial reporting.
Fluency in English and Amharic (written and spoken); Afaan Oromo an advantage.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to meet deadlines.
