The organization has supported humanitarian partners in Ethiopia since 2018 by strengthening data management, analysis, and information products for informed decision-making.

Job Summary
The Information Management Intern will support humanitarian data management, reporting, visualization, mapping, and information product development. The intern will work closely with the Information Management team to assist in maintaining data quality and producing reports, dashboards, maps, and other analytical products.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Management
Assist in collecting, cleaning, and consolidating data from multiple sources. Support the development and maintenance of databases, spreadsheets, and data management tools. Help maintain data quality and consistency for reporting and analysis.
2. Data Visualization and Reporting
Assist in developing charts, dashboards, infographics, and other information products. Support the preparation of interactive reports and visualizations. Contribute to the production of situation reports, factsheets, and summary reports.
3. Mapping and GIS Support
Assist in preparing maps using GIS software such as QGIS or ArcGIS. Support geographic data organization and processing activities.
4. Needs Assessments and Analysis
Support data processing for assessments and analytical activities. Assist in preparing reports and presentation materials summarizing project findings.
5. Capacity Building Support
Assist in preparing training materials for Information Management sessions. Support virtual and in-person workshops, including documentation and note-taking.
Educational Qualification
Applicants must be:
Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a degree program in one of the following fields: Statistics Economics Data Science Geography Computer Science Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Or a related field
Technical Skills
Applicants should demonstrate:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Basic knowledge of data analysis tools. Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Canva is an advantage. Basic knowledge of GIS software such as QGIS or ArcGIS is desirable. Knowledge of KoboToolbox, Open Data Kit (ODK), or similar data collection platforms is an asset. Interest in applying artificial intelligence (AI) tools for data analysis, reporting, and visualization.

Strong attention to detail. Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to work collaboratively within a team. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
