Position: Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Experts
Qualifications
Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Economics, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Health, or related fields. Minimum 5 years of professional experience in monitoring, evaluation, and/or learning for donor‑funded development or humanitarian programmes. Demonstrated experience applying OECD‑DAC evaluation criteria or equivalent MEAL frameworks. Strong quantitative and/or qualitative research skills. Proficiency in statistical software (Stata, SPSS, R) and qualitative analysis tools. Experience with digital data collection platforms (ODK, KoboCollect, SurveyCTO, CommCare). Knowledge of the development, humanitarian, and policy context in Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, or Uganda . Prior experience with UN agencies, international NGOs, or bilateral/multilateral donors is highly desirable. Experience conducting gender‑sensitive and disability‑inclusive research is an asset. Excellent report‑writing and facilitation skills in English; proficiency in local languages is an advantage.
