Zamzam Bank S.C would like to hire competent and qualified applicants for the following position.

ZamZam bank S.C is the first bank to get a license from the National bank of Ethiopia to operate as a full-fledged Interest-Free Bank in the country. The bank is established to enhance financial inclusion with a special focus on the part of society that is alienated from the financial system due to their religious beliefs or other factors.

Position 1: Database Administrator I

Minimum qualification and work experience:

• BSC degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information System, Information Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• 2 years of experience is required, preferable with knowledge to assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Oracle, SQL Server).
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability, perform regular database backups and restorations as required, Optimize database queries to improve system efficiency, Support database security measures, including access controls and data encryption, collaborate with developers and other IT team members to support database needs for applications, Maintain and update database documentation, including schemas and procedures

Position 2: System Administrator I

Minimum qualification and work experience:

• BSC degree in Computer Science,   Computer Engineering,  Information System,  Information Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• 2 years of experience;  Relevant professional qualifications and certifications on IBM power machines, Unix Operating Systems like AIX, Linux, Web Logic, virtualization ,etc
