Role description
VSO Ethiopia is recruiting qualified professionals for 8 positions supporting youth employment, workforce development, policy, programme management, monitoring and evaluation, finance, and operations. The vacancies are based in Addis Ababa, Bahir Dar, and Kombolcha , with several roles requiring travel to project locations.
1. Project Monitoring Evaluation & Learning Officer
Locations: Addis Ababa (1), Bahir Dar (1), Kombolcha (1) Deadline: August 25, 2026
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Project Management, Data Science , or a related field. Additional training or certification in MERL, data management, or project management is an advantage. Relevant experience in monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning within development or donor-funded projects. Experience with M&E tools, participatory methods, data collection, documentation, and quantitative and qualitative research. Practical experience with digital data collection and database management systems. Knowledge of SPSS, EPI-Info, KoboToolbox, ODK, CommCare, Power BI, R, Excel , or similar platforms is required. Knowledge of youth employment, workforce development, and women and youth economic participation is an advantage.
