About the Role
The Senior IT Associate will be responsible for maintaining Sun King's IT infrastructure in Ethiopia, supporting users, providing IT training, and managing hardware and software endpoints.
The role involves working across IT infrastructure, computer networking, cybersecurity, call center technology, IT procurement, and Windows, Linux, and macOS environments. The successful candidate should be able to work with limited supervision and collaborate effectively with different teams.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure Management
Maintain and troubleshoot network systems, servers, and data storage solutions. Maintain network security and data integrity. Monitor system performance and implement improvements when required.
User Technical Support
Provide technical assistance to staff across Ethiopia on hardware and software issues. Resolve technical problems within required timelines while maintaining service quality. Record service tickets and document solutions.
IT Training
Develop and deliver IT training programs for employees. Prepare training materials and user documentation. Provide ongoing guidance on IT systems and software.
Endpoint Management
Manage and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and other endpoint equipment. Install, configure, and update software applications. Perform hardware repairs and upgrades when required.
Call Center Technology
Maintain call center technologies, including VoIP systems and related software. Troubleshoot technical problems affecting call center operations. Monitor system performance and address issues affecting service delivery.
IT Procurement
Assist with procurement of IT hardware, software, and services. Manage vendor relationships and participate in contract negotiations. Maintain records of IT purchases, suppliers, and services.
Cybersecurity
Implement and maintain security measures for IT systems and data. Monitor security threats and respond appropriately to incidents. Maintain security practices across systems and endpoint devices.
Operating Systems
Provide technical support across Windows, Linux, and macOS environments. Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot operating systems and related applications.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with other departments to address their IT requirements. Communicate clearly with team members and relevant stakeholders. Coordinate with internal teams when resolving technical issues or implementing IT solutions.
Emergency IT Support
Provide support outside normal working hours when urgent IT issues require attention. Handle critical incidents and assist with restoring affected systems and services.
Qualification and Experience
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field .
Professional Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in an IT role . Experience with call center technology, IT procurement, cybersecurity, computer networking, and operating systems . Proficiency in Windows, Linux, and macOS .
Additional Requirements
